Frequently asked questions about laptop cases

• What is the difference between custom-fit and universal laptop cases?

  With a custom-fit case, the foam inlay is already pre-cut for a specific model – just put your laptop in and you're done. With a universal case, you set up the interior yourself – using pick & pluck foam or individually adjustable insert plates. Rule of thumb: custom-fit is more convenient and ready to use straight away, universal is more flexible – ideal if you have multiple or changing devices, or if there's no custom-cut foam available for your model.

• Which laptops and MacBooks fit in the cases?

  Custom-fit inlays are available for common MacBook models (Air and Pro) as well as selected Lenovo notebooks. You can find all available custom-fit models here. If there is no custom-fit solution for your device, you can also use a universal case: If there's no custom-fit solution for your device, you can also use a you can flexibly adapt the interior to your device and accessories. • Can I also transport accessories in the case besides the laptop?

  Yes. Depending on the model and size of your laptop, there is additional space beneath the device for accessories – for example a power adapter, mouse, cables or a power bank. This way you have your complete setup in one case. How much storage space remains is stated in the respective product description or can be seen from the product images.

• What distinguishes the ECO series cases from the other cases?

  The ECO series is the lightweight alternative. These cases are made from 100% recycled plastic and feature a modern design on the lid – ideal as a professional business case. They offer protection to IP65. The other cases (XTREME series) are particularly ruggedly built, dust- and waterproof to IP67, and come with a lifetime warranty on the case (excluding the inlay).

• How do I adapt the universal case to my device?

  Using the pick & pluck foam: you press or pull out the pre-perforated cubes to fit your device – no tools required. If you're worried about accidentally tearing out too much, you can score the cutout with a utility knife – this makes the cubes come out even more easily. Some models also have size-adjustable insert plates (3-in-1 models): these contain removable frames in different sizes. Simply remove the inner frames until your laptop fits perfectly. The peel-off adhesive layer on the underside makes it easy to fix the frames in place.

• Do I get a warranty on my laptop case?

  All laptop cases – with the exception of the ECO cases – come with a lifetime warranty on the case itself (excluding the foam inlay). • Are the laptop cases suitable for air travel?

  Yes, they are perfectly equipped for it: all laptop cases have an automatic pressure equalization valve that compensates for air pressure differences and protects the contents during flights. Whether a model fits as carry-on luggage depends on your airline – the exact exterior dimensions can be found on each product page.

• Can I order a custom inlay for my device?

  Yes. If there is no custom-fit inlay available for your laptop, we can offer you custom-made foam.
