Knightly Christmas: TOMcase team celebrates at the Waldburg

An evening full of knightly spectacle

The celebration began with an atmospheric mulled wine reception against the imposing backdrop of the Waldburg Castle. The wintry ambiance and warming mulled wine provided the perfect start, before the team received a brief introduction to the customs of the knights. Exciting insights into medieval life and traditions immersed the guests in the time of the castle's inhabitants.

After this introduction, the first culinary stage of the evening began. A lavish appetizer platter and a warming soup provided the perfect foretaste of the highlights to come.

Historical insights and breathtaking views

After the first course, a guided tour of the historic walls of the Waldburg Castle followed. The staff heard fascinating anecdotes, such as the early marriage of women at the age of twelve, the role of the Waldburg during the Peasants' Revolts, and the castle's domination of the "Nordstrom" for 23 years.

The path led to the castle's observation tower, from which, on clear days, guests could see as far as Überlingen, Bregenz, and Friedrichshafen. The moment of gazing at the vast winter landscape offered an opportunity for peace and reflection—and was one of the highlights of the evening.

Culinary conclusion and solidarity

Back in the castle parlor, the sweet conclusion to the evening awaited: a delicious dessert rounded off the knightly menu and offered the opportunity to end the evening in convivial company.
